Nora Pouillon has been a lifelong pioneer and champion of organic, environmentally conscious cuisine.  She founded America's FIRST certified organic restaurant, Restaurant Nora, and made it her mission to bring organic foods to the American table.  Born in Vienna, Austria, Nora came to the United States in the late 1960s. She was shocked to discover the processed, chemical-laden foods Americans were eating, which she realized contributed to their health problems. That's when she embarked on her crusade to promote a healthier lifestyle. Determined to make a difference, first as a teacher and then as the country's premiere organic restaurateur, she charted a path that forever changed our relationship with what we eat. Spanning the last forty years of our culinary history, My Organic Life gives us the remarkable life of a little-known hero of the organic revolution.
This is an evening you do not want to miss!!!!  Come join us for evening of lively conversation, stories, and a glimpse of Nora and My Organic Life.

What: Coffee Pairings with Wise Coffee

WILFS discovered how coffee influences our experiences with the food that we pair with it. Like wine pairings, coffee pairings are becoming more and more sought out by chefs, cafés and restaurateurs to heighten their patron’s dessert experiences. We indulged in fruit pies, chocolate treats and desserts, a cream/dairy based dessert, fresh fruit, sorbet, and other scrumptious pastry and dessert offerings by W.I.L.F.S. members, including Red Bread, Venice Ale House, Tracy Kontos, FREITAG Pies and more! Wise Coffee pairied various micro-roasted, organic, fair trade coffees with these amazing treats, providing us the unique opportunity to taste the pairings and their effects on our dessert experiences first hand! Check out more info about Wise Coffee on the Resource Page!
